I just saw an ad on TV about The Food Show, happening on 11-13 May in Wellington so I decided to check the website, and look around for other food events this month. I found a couple, featuring NZ produce.
But first, The Food Show: with schedules for Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch.
The Food Show has exhibits on the latest on cookware and kitchenware, food and drinks, and a Masterclass series you can join to brush up on your culinary skills. And even if you're not in New Zealand, the website still has loads to offer as there's quite a number of recipes classified by meal type and presented by famous chefs, a number of them from MasterChef series. Visit the website to learn more.
The other two events I found are:
The 2012 Gamebird Food Festival. Love free range and organic food? You can't get any closer than this. A number of restaurants are participating in the festival and are offering gamebirds in the menu. Oh, and there are recipes in the website as well. Happening 5 May to 8 July nationwide. Visit the website to learn more.
Bluff Oyster and Food Festival. They say bluff oysters are the best oysters you can ever have. I wish I can tell you that it's true, but I haven't had bluff oysters yet, but upon seeing this website I am determined to have some, even if it's from a small tub from the supermarket, as this event will be in Invercargill on 26 May.
